Product Details

In printing, CMC (Printing Dyeing Grade) is used as a thickener and emulsifier in printing pastes, particularly suitable for silk printing pastes. Printing pastes for man-made fiber fabrics such as acetate should contain high-boiling-point solvents, dyes, water, and sufficient thickener.

CMC for printing and dyeing acts as both a thickener and an emulsifier, allowing the paste to mix evenly with high-boiling-point solvents and water. Generally, 1% CMC is sufficient to stabilize the paste suspension, preventing sedimentation and foaming during storage.

Application Type Viscosity Degree of Substitution Purity Moisture
Printing & Dyeing Grade 10H 1% Soln ≥3000 ≥1.0 ≥95.0 ≤10%
13H 1% Soln ≥2000 ≥1.0 ≥95.0 ≤10%
15H 1% Soln ≥1800 ≥1.50 ≥95.0 ≤10%
18H 1% Soln ≥1000 ≥1.80 ≥95.0 ≤10%

Textile Grade CMC Functions and Benefits:

1. More stable quality compared to natural pastes;
2. Good fluidity, resulting in even dyeing;
3. High film strength, preventing film breakage;
4. High substitution degree, reducing reaction with reactive dyes, resulting in a soft hand feel on printed materials;
5. Minimal gel particles, preventing printing defects;
6. Excellent colorability;
7. Good water retention, allowing for the printing of fine patterns;
8. Non-reducing, minimizing impact on dye color;
9. Can be used in conjunction with other pastes;
10. Harmless to the human body;
11. Stable long-term storage.

The time required for complete dissolution of CMC is determined based on the following aspects:

(1) CMC and water are completely bonded together, with no solid-liquid separation;
(2) The mixed paste is uniform and has a smooth surface;
(3) The mixed paste is nearly colorless and transparent, and contains no particulate matter. From the time CMC is added to the mixing tank and mixed with water until it is completely dissolved, the time required is between 10 and 20 hours.

Storage and Transportation

- CMC for Textile Dyeing should be stored in a well-ventilated, dry place, protected from moisture, fire, and high temperatures.
- Protect from rain during transportation. Do not use iron hooks during loading and unloading. Long-term storage and compression may cause clumping upon unpacking, which may cause inconvenience but will not affect quality.
- This product must not come into contact with water during storage, otherwise it will gel or partially dissolve, rendering it unusable.

FAQ

1. Q: Will the printing process result in bleeding or uneven paste distribution?
A: No. Our Textile Printing and Dyeing CMC has excellent water retention and leveling properties, resulting in clear edges, high color yield, and minimal bleeding during printing.

2. Q: Is the product prone to clumping during paste preparation?
A: It is not prone to clumping. Our CMC Textile Dyeing Grade has good dispersibility. When added slowly and stirred correctly, it dissolves quickly, forming a uniform paste.

3. Q: Is the quality consistent between different batches?
A: Very consistent. Our automated production in our own factory ensures consistency across batches by testing viscosity, degree of substitution, and other indicators, eliminating the need for frequent formula adjustments.
