Drilling Chemical Raw Materials PAC
Category:
Product Introduction
Product Details
PAC possesses wetting properties and is soluble in water; under neutral or slightly alkaline conditions, it exists as a high-viscosity liquid. It is stable against chemical agents, heat, and light. It is odorless and tasteless. Polyanionic cellulose is a water-soluble polymer produced through a chemical reaction between cellulose and carboxymethyl anionic groups.

[Specific Applications]
1. Used as a Suspension Stabilizer for Petroleum Drilling Fluids
Drilling fluids containing polyanionic cellulose powder exhibit excellent stability; even at temperatures exceeding 150°C, they effectively reduce fluid loss. They facilitate the formation of a thin, tough, and low-permeability filter cake on the wellbore wall, thereby maintaining a low rate of fluid filtration loss.
Drilling fluids formulated with PAC for oil drilling applications demonstrate superior rheological properties and suspension stability. They possess strong resistance to contamination by various soluble salts and are minimally affected by microbial degradation.
Drilling fluids containing PAC powder exhibit excellent viscosity-building capabilities. Specifically, low-viscosity carboxymethyl cellulose with a high degree of substitution is well-suited for use in high-density drilling fluids, where it serves as an effective fluid-loss control agent.
2. Used as a Chemical Additive for Oilfield Fracturing Operations
It rapidly increases the viscosity of fracturing fluids, enabling the efficient transport of proppants into the fractures within the oil well to establish permeable flow channels. It quickly reduces fluid loss, leading to a rapid rise in formation pressure and thereby achieving highly efficient pressure transmission. The product leaves no residue and causes no damage to the geological formation; it can be utilized as a substitute for guar gum and polyacrylamide.
[Product Advantages]
1. Eco-friendly and green; non-toxic, harmless, and odorless.
2. Exhibits excellent fluidity and strong antibacterial properties; easy to use.
3. Compared to PAC and CMC, it offers superior thickening, suspending, dispersing, emulsifying, bonding, salt-resistance, water-retention, and colloid-protection capabilities.
4. Features excellent thermal stability, resistance to acids, alkalis, and salts, as well as superior solubility and stability.
5. Possesses outstanding capabilities for enhancing viscosity and shear strength while reducing fluid loss; suitable for use in freshwater, saltwater, saturated brine, and seawater drilling fluid systems.
Future Development Trends
In summary, as a key drilling fluid additive, PAC finds extensive application in various scenarios within oil drilling operations. By judiciously selecting the dosage and employing scientifically sound application methods, it is possible to effectively enhance mud properties and ensure the smooth execution of drilling operations. With the continuous advancement of technology, the potential of this material to further improve drilling efficiency and enhance safety remains highly promising.
