Oil Drilling Grade pac

Product Introduction
Product Details
The thermal stability of polyanionic cellulose (PAC) in drilling applications depends primarily on its product grade and the specific downhole environment.
Standard grade PAC can typically withstand temperatures of 120°C to 130°C; specially modified high-temperature grade products can withstand temperatures of 140°C to 150°C.

Influencing Factors:
pH Value: Chemically polyanionic cellulose exhibits optimal stability in a slightly alkaline environment with a pH of 8 to 11.
Salinity: It retains its functional properties even in saturated brine, although thermal degradation may be slightly accelerated under such conditions.
Oxidation: Oxygen present downhole accelerates the degradation reaction; therefore, PAC powder typically needs to be used in conjunction with an oxygen scavenger.
Failure Manifestations: Once its temperature limit is exceeded, the molecular chains of PAC for oil drilling fluids will break down. This will lead to a sharp increase in drilling fluid loss and a significant decrease in viscosity, potentially causing wellbore instability or stuck pipe.
Selection recommendations: For temperatures below 130°C, standard grade PAC is sufficient; for temperatures between 130°C and 150°C, high-temperature resistant grade Polyanionic cellulose should be selected; if the temperature exceeds 160°C, it is recommended to use a treatment agent with stronger thermal stability, such as sulfonated polymers or other synthetic polymers.
The price of polyanionic cellulose powder (PAC) is primarily influenced by factors such as cost, supply and demand, policy, and market environment.
*Regarding costs, fluctuations in the prices of raw materials such as refined cotton, wood pulp, and caustic soda directly impact production costs, while changes in energy prices also create cost pressures.
*Regarding supply and demand, changes in demand from downstream industries such as oil and gas drilling, construction, and daily chemicals drive price fluctuations, while changes in new industry capacity or operating rates also affect market supply.
*Regarding policy, environmental protection-related production restrictions and adjustments to industrial policies affect enterprise costs and operating rates, thus indirectly impacting prices.
*Regarding the market environment, industry competition, differences in technological levels, logistics costs, regional supply and demand structures, and macroeconomic fluctuations all have a certain impact.
