Product Details

Petroleum-grade PAC plays a crucial role in oil drilling.

- Petrochemical product polyanionic cellulose (PAC) possesses excellent thickening, suspending, and stabilizing properties. In drilling fluids, PAC increases viscosity, improving fluidity and cuttings carrying capacity, effectively carrying drill cuttings back to the surface and preventing drill cuttings settling and stuck pipe accidents.

- Simultaneously, PAC enhances the suspending capacity of drilling fluids, ensuring uniform suspension of weighting materials such as barite, maintaining stable drilling fluid density, ensuring wellbore pressure balance, and preventing well collapse and other problems.

- It also enhances the stability of drilling fluids, resisting the effects of harsh environments such as high temperature and high pressure on drilling fluid performance, ensuring smooth drilling operations under complex geological conditions.

Applications of Drilling Chemical Raw Materials PAC:

■ Suitable for any drilling mud, from freshwater to saturated brine;
■ High mud-making rate: PAC can produce 2-3 times more mud than ordinary CMC;
■ Low-viscosity PAC effectively reduces filtrate loss, while high-viscosity PAC produces a high-volume mud with a significant effect on reducing filtrate loss;
■ The mud fluid can inhibit the dispersion and expansion of clay and shale in high-salt media, thereby controlling wellbore fouling and delaying the time of clay hydration, expansion, and dispersion;
■ Excellent colloid protection ability;
■ PAC can be used in many complex formations such as salt, paste, and high-temperature environments, as well as in challenging drilling conditions such as marine and desert environments;

Workover fluids formulated with PAC are low in solids, preventing the blockage of the production formation's permeability and thus avoiding damage. They also exhibit low water loss, reducing the amount of water entering the production formation and preventing water from clogging the formation and causing waterlogging. Workover fluids formulated with PAC offer advantages not found in other workover fluids:

■ Protect the production formation from permanent damage;
■ Possess clean wellbore carrying capacity, reducing wellbore maintenance workload;
■ Resistant to water and sediment infiltration with minimal foaming;
■ Can be stored or transferred between wells, offering lower costs than conventional mud workover fluids.
